My Research

I spent some time researching the California prison system, and seeing how the church can play a bigger role in helping people in their situation. I joined forces with a Pen Pal group based out of Lake Elsinore to write letters to those who are on a "life in prison" sentence, and those on death row. We used our

small amount of time to pray over inmates and the

impact our letters could have on the recipient.

Involvement

When I went to Uganda in 2013, I became the co project lead, and American Distributor of "SOW and REAP". This is a Ugandan based non profit that helps HIV positive single moms in Uganda earn income to support their families. Every artisan we have is diligent to her work and is highly responsible with her micro loan. These women come to us and are taught how to craft hand made, one of a kind jewelry, they are taught how to operate a micro loan, and are apart of a twice a week Bible based small group. These women are on a

road to a more stable emotional, physical, and spiritual place.

Curriculum

When I was on a family missions trip Eastside was hosting, I noticed manny of the children in attendance seemed to think this missions trip was just a really lame family vacation. I took it upon myself to create a parent guide to help parents own the topic of missions at home. Through this packet, parents are able to see the bigger picture of being called to missions, and given concrete ways of how to own this topic

at home, so they are the leaders of faith to their kids.

Videos

Here are 3 videos I recorded and edited. The first is a recap video from one of the days on the high school service trip to Rosarito, Mexico. The other two videos are "promo clips" for when Eastside launched all their global trips for the summer. The purpose of these promo clips were to get people excited and consider applying to go over seas this summer
